2027 falls on exactly the same days as 2021. January 1 is a Friday, there is no February 29, and Christmas lands on a Saturday. So that 2021 wall calendar rolled up at the back of the closet would get every Monday holiday right. Only Easter would be wrong, a week early, and you would be looking at 2021’s photos in the kitchen for another twelve months.
For everyone else, here are 18 printable 2027 calendars sorted by where they will live: on the desk, on the wall, on one page, around your own photos, or shrunk down to fit a journal. Three are free. First, the handful of 2027 dates worth knowing before you print one.
The short version: For a desk, pick a print-and-fold calendar and print it on cardstock. For the wall, pick one with a notes box each month. For the fridge or the back of a planner, a one-page year does the job. For a gift, a Canva photo calendar. For free, the first three below.

Desk calendars you print and fold
These are the crafty ones. For most of them you print the months, cut them out and assemble a little stand, and a few come with cut files so a Cricut or Silhouette does the cutting. Print them on cardstock, not copy paper, or the stand will slump by February. Most home printers take cardstock through the rear or manual feed tray; set the paper type to heavy or cardstock in the print dialog.
Wall and monthly calendars
A wall calendar needs two things: a picture you will not be sick of by March and room to write. The coastal and cottagecore sets give every month a notes section and change their artwork with the seasons; the other two are plainer and more practical.
The whole year on one page
A single-page calendar is for the fridge, the inside cover of a planner, or the wall above a desk where you count weeks to a deadline. There is no room for appointments, and that is the point. The free Canva calendar in the first section is this kind too.
A photo calendar with your own pictures
A homemade photo calendar is still one of the best presents for grandparents, and a Canva template makes it an evening’s work instead of a weekend’s. Pick your twelve photos before you open the template: one per month, landscape shots for landscape frames, and something wintry for January. If you want to change the lettering too, here is how to add your own fonts to Canva.
Use photos that are big enough to print sharply: for a frame about 5 inches wide, a picture at least 1,500 pixels across (any recent phone photo is bigger than that) prints cleanly at 300 dpi.
Mini calendars for journals and planners
Tiny month grids turn up all over journals: stick one at the top of a monthly spread, tuck one into a pocket page, or drop one into a digital planner as a sticker. At an inch and a half square, all twelve months fit on one letter sheet with room to cut between them.
The six-row months. A month grid has room for five rows of weeks, and some months need six. In 2027, with a Sunday start, January, May and October spill into a sixth row. With a Monday start, it is May and August. Printed calendars handle it by squeezing two dates into one box (the 24/31 trick) or by making that month’s grid taller. If you draw your own monthly spreads in a bullet journal, count before you rule the grid; our weekly and monthly spreads guide has layouts that leave room.
If you journal on paper, our junk journal ideas has plenty of spots for one. If you plan on a tablet, a full digital planner has the calendar built in, and a printable 2027 planner is the next step up on paper when a calendar alone is not enough.
Frequently asked questions about 2027 calendars
What day of the week does 2027 start on?
Friday. January 1, 2027 is a Friday, and so is December 31, 2027.
Is 2027 a leap year?
No. The next leap year after 2024 is 2028, so February 2027 has 28 days.
Which years have the same calendar as 2027?
2021, 2010, 1999 and 1993 match it day for day, because each starts on a Friday and none is a leap year. The next year with the same calendar is 2038.
Should my calendar start on Sunday or Monday?
Whichever day your week starts on in your head. In the US, Sunday is the traditional start on wall calendars, while many planners and most of Europe use Monday. Several calendars here include both, so you do not have to choose until you print.
Can I print a 2027 calendar at a print shop?
Yes. Take the PDF on a USB stick or email it to the shop, and ask for cardstock and a spiral or ring binding for a wall calendar. For desk calendars you assemble yourself, just ask for the pages printed on heavy cardstock.
Not 2021 after all
Pick the calendar by where it will hang or stand, print it on something sturdier than copy paper, and write in the first birthday. It may share its days with 2021, but Easter comes a week earlier and the wall gets new pictures.
